I went to Saudi for trophies, not money – Mendy
Manchester City left-back Benjamin Mendy has revealed that the main reason he moved to Saudi Arabia to join Al Nassr was to win trophies, not for financial gain.
Mendy, who joined Al Nassr on loan in January, has been a key player for the Saudi club and has helped them in their pursuit of domestic and continental success.
“I came to Saudi Arabia because I wanted to win trophies,” Mendy said in a recent interview. “I have already won many league titles and cups in my career, but I want to add more to my collection.”
The French defender has been enjoying his time in Saudi Arabia and has impressed fans and pundits alike with his performances on the pitch.
“I am happy to be playing for Al Nassr and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this team,” Mendy added.
Despite his success in Saudi Arabia, Mendy has not ruled out a return to Manchester City in the future.
“I still have a contract with Manchester City and I am focused on doing my best for Al Nassr. But you never know what the future holds,” Mendy said.
For now, Mendy is fully committed to helping Al Nassr achieve their goals and hopes to lift more trophies before his loan spell ends.
With his determination and winning mentality, Mendy is sure to leave a lasting impact on Saudi football.
